Dara Beitler is the principal and creative force behind Dara Beitler Interiors, a residential design studio creating sophisticated, soulful, and highly personal interiors throughout the DMV and beyond.
Dara doesn’t believe great design comes from choosing a single style and sticking to it. In fact, she’s never met a design style she didn’t love. Her signature is in the mix—pairing vintage and antique pieces with contemporary forms, unexpected color with quiet neutrals, natural materials with warm metals, and refined details with the things that make a home feel genuinely lived in.
She describes her PERSONAL aesthetic as midimalist: somewhere between the restraint of minimalism and the expressive, collected spirit of maximalism. The spaces she creates are layered but not cluttered, polished but never precious, and thoughtfully designed without feeling overly designed.
For Dara, the most successful interiors aren't simply beautiful. They have personality. They tell a story. They work for the people who live in them. And they get better with time.
Her approach combines a keen eye for color, proportion, texture, and spatial flow with an appreciation for the unexpected. An antique chest might become a bathroom vanity. When she’s not designing, sourcing, or convincing a client that yes, we really should try that color, Dara is spending time with her family, traveling, practicing Pilates, and inevitably bringing home one more vintage piece she absolutely did not need.
